Supporting children to believe in their future
Fresenius Kabi Italy and local employees supported the village of Amatrice which has been damaged last summer by an earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale struck the Apennines area in Italy, a mountain range of about 1,500 km. Several villages in the region were severely hit. The Italian entities made a total donation of €45,000 by contributing an hour of their wages.
Fresenius Kabi entities in Italy made a commitment to support the village’s primary school reconstruction, which is set to start soon. As an interim solution, the children are currently being taught in a prefabricated building. “We have consciously chosen this school project since we want to support the children to believe in their future. We also want to make sure they have science and information laboratories to help the little ones discover future technology,” says Alberto Bortoli, General Manager of the Mirandola Plant. Fresenius Kabi in Italy will follow the school project’s progress once construction work has begun.
