Multi Site Operations

As part of the global Fresenius Kabi family, we are dedicated to providing essential medicines and technologies to healthcare professionals, focusing on the needs of critically and chronically ill patients. With a strong local presence, our head office is located in Midrand, supported by four additional warehouses and sales offices across South Africa. We also have an export business targeting several African countries. Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for patients through innovative products and services, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficacy.

Local Manufacturing

Located in Gqeberha, the Fresenius Kabi Manufacturing Plant is central to our South African operations. This state-of-the-art facility produces high-quality pharmaceutical products, including IV fluids with freeflex® technology and generic IV medicines. Known for meeting rigorous global safety and efficacy standards, our plant is vital to improving patient care in South Africa. Committed to innovation and excellence, it also boosts the local economy by creating jobs and supporting community development.

Parenteral Nutrition Compounding

Our aseptic unit is a unique facility on the African continent, equipped with state-of-the-art barrier isolator technology to mix intravenous total nutrition in a sterile manner. Fresenius Kabi South Africa is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards, adhering to rigorous local and global protocols. We ensure that hospitals across the country receive these essential nutrition solutions for neonates, paediatrics and adult patients, through multiple daily deliveries, from Cape Town to Thohoyandou, supporting the critical care needs of patients nationwide.
