A Cup of Chai with Vaibhav

Clinical research coordinator, scientific expert, international project manager: Meet Vaibhav Choudhary, Fresenius Kabi’s allrounder in clinical trial management, and follow him through his workday!

For 15 years, Vaibhav Choudhary has been part of the Medical and Clinical Team at Fresenius Kabi, but now he is finding himself a newbie: Having recently moved from his native India to Germany, he went out of his comfort zone and dove into new challenges in a new position. “I could not resist the opportunity to develop my skills further and to manage even more diverse clinical trials,” he says.

Clinical trial management is exactly what Vaibhav does: He organizes research studies to prepare for the registration and market approval of our products in various countries around the world. Without people like him, the clinical evidence for potentially lifesaving medicines would not exist. But what is his workday actually like? “My typical day starts with a homemade chai. It’s a piece of India I take everywhere with me,” he explains. “Then I log on and meet with my counterparts, we discuss ideas and study designs, we make sure we meet regulatory requirements with our research.”

Sounds like a lot of teamwork. “Working in my team is crucial for my job, but it’s also a pleasure. We have a truly global culture; everyone is ready to support each other. My teammates were the ones to make my move to Germany smooth and easy.” It was a true caring for life-moment for Vaibhav: “Caring for life means supporting patients and customers, but also colleagues. I am happy to have experienced this first-hand.”

What is your favorite part about working for Fresenius Kabi?

Its diverse culture. You get to work with colleagues from different geographies and regions on various projects. I like the great exchanges with colleagues. Out of many other great things, I also want to mention the team spirit. All these years I have worked on many projects with various teams across the globe, but one thing is constant and that is extremely collaborative culture and to support each other.

What is special about working in your team?

Contributing to bringing new treatment options and make them available to patients across the globe.

What is your favorite quote?

Passionate, collaborative and committed.

How do you define success?

For me success is inner happiness after reaching the end goal with the chosen path.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to watch documentaries on world history or read about similar topics.

What does “caring for life” mean to you?

To support each other: Not only to patients or our customers but every colleague as well. I found the colleagues standing behind me and ready to support whenever needed.
