Our Commitment to Our Communities

In the Dominican Republic, our colleagues contribute to forestation projects for Fresenius Kabi. Employees at the Haina production site have planted more than 14,000 trees over the past 19 years as part of an ongoing effort that has changed the landscape in local areas. Even a former landfill site has been reforested! Employees’ children often join their parents on planting days and, as the trees grow and the landscape becomes greener, so grows the realization in families that even small actions can have a lasting impact on future generations. 

Spreading smiles and happiness: that’s what our colleagues at Fresenius Kabi SwissBioSim achieved by initiating a fundraiser for hospitalized children in Switzerland. By living our mission, “Caring for life,” they supported the Theodora Foundation in bringing laughter and joy to children in hospitals and specialist care centers. The foundation arranges for professional artists known as the “Giggle Doctors” to visit children in cities such as Geneva, Nyon, Morges, Lausanne, and Canton Vaud, as well as in institutions across the country. Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our biosimilars employees, the Theodora-trained “Giggle Doctors” visited 102 children in need of cheer.

The decision to donate blood can save lives and improves the quality of life for patients with specific conditions due to illness or accident – it can also be used to support medical and surgical procedures. It is one of the most precious gifts anyone can give another person and at the same time a heroic lifesaving act of solidarity.
