A Cup of Earl Grey with Beata Jonik-Nowak

Planning, connecting, coordinating: Join Beata Jonik-Nowak, Project Manager Global Quality, Vision 2026, as she navigates time zones, teamwork, and everything in between.

It is 8:30 a.m. in Mainz, Germany and a new working day starts off anything but slow for Beata Jonik-Nowak. After everyone leaves home, she enjoys her enormous mug of Earl Grey and a moment of quiet. “A sip of tea gives me time to stop and reflect before the day picks up speed. It helps me focus,” she says with a smile – before diving into a full day of coordinating projects and calls across 12 time zones.

As Project Manager for the quality workstream of our strategic framework, Vision 2026, Beata’s day revolves around global collaboration. She works to ensure that quality initiatives are not only implemented but also understood and embraced by teams around the world. Beata explains: “For me it's important to promote best practice sharing and I also try to spotlight the people behind our successes – because their dedication deserves to be seen.”

“No two days are the same, and that’s what I find so rewarding,” she continues. “I work with people from different cultures and backgrounds – and that brings fresh perspectives and constant learning.”

Beata, who joined Fresenius Kabi nearly two years ago, brings a strong scientific background to her role. After completing a PhD in molecular biology, she transitioned from lab work to project management, driven by her curiosity and love for creative problem-solving. “I’m not afraid of challenges,” she says. “There’s always something new to do, to try to be the pioneer. I like to think outside the box.”

We asked her a few questions:

How would you describe your role to friends or family?

I connect global and local quality teams, assuring that our worldwide plants receive solutions that make their work more efficient. I also share best practices across sites.

What is special about your work?

I work with colleagues across 12 time zones which means planning ahead and making sure communication is clear. English is essential, but sometimes knowing other languages is a nice icebreaker.

What motivates you most in your current role?

The impact we have on people’s lives. When I joined Fresenius Kabi, my aunt – who assists at the surgeries – told me she could see a clear difference in patients with critical conditions when using our products. That stayed with me.

What does “committed to life” mean to you?

I’m really happy if I can introduce positive changes and I’m trying to do my best for that. I focus on celebrating accomplishments and highlighting the people behind every success.

What do you enjoy in your free time?

Travelling! It is one of activities that enriches us on many levels. I also love photography, planning events, and designing personalized gifts – anything that lets me be creative.
