Further Donations to Support Emergency Care of Patients in Ukraine

June 9, 2022

The ongoing terrifying and disastrous violence in Ukraine leaves all of us very concerned. Our thoughts continue to be with those affected. Our CEO Michael Sen: “Fresenius Kabi remains dedicated to providing the people in Ukraine with lifesaving medicines. We are guided by our corporate mission “caring for life” and focus on supporting patients in Ukrainian hospitals to quickly deliver relief on site. My heartfelt thanks go out to my dedicated team due to their relentless actions to provide essential medicines in the country.” In a continuous effort, we have already sent more than 400 pallets of urgently needed drugs and medical devices to Ukraine via aid organizations.

This includes a recent donation of about 70 pallets in cooperation with the German Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (Bundesamt für Bevölkerungsschutz und Katastrophenhilfe, BBK), which is in charge of coordinating all federal civil assistance in Germany as part of the federal relief for Ukraine. The donation consists of intravenously administered drugs such as antibiotics, anesthetics and volume replacement therapies. The lifesaving medicines are used to treat critically ill patients in the country, thereby contributing to the emergency care in Ukraine.

As a healthcare company, Fresenius Kabi is committed to the health and wellbeing of people all over the world. We are deeply saddened by the conflict in Ukraine with its horrendous consequences for so many.
