MY CKD:
I had symptoms like leg and ankle swelling (edema) and a loss of appetite. The blood test showed very high prostate specific antigen (PSA). In the clinic, they didn't take into account the growth of the prostate which caused some damage that resulted in a significant loss of blood. Subsequent treatment included three sessions of dialysis, blood transfusions and special diets. I am waiting now for a prostate operation, so I'm very hopeful. They advised me to eat a supplemented very low protein diet.
MY DIET:
At first, I had some doubts because it is a new lifestyle, we were used to eating a lot of protein (meat, milk, cheese, etc.), it is part of our eating habits. I started with a plant-based diet, then I also added chicken, turkey, fish etc.; Initially, it is not easy to start with this kind of diet, but when you see the results, you start to believe in the treatment. So, I can say that if you are committed and if you want to take care of your kidney health, you can start with such a treatment.
