The jejunal tube has been recorded as having been in place for several months without complications. 

  • Polyurethane tube with radio-opaque strip, open-ended ENFit connection with integral cap
  • External fixation plate (silicone) with clamp and suture holes (for securing to the abdomen with sutures)
  • Interval markings every 5cm
  • Two split cannulae (10.5cm and 13cm), blunt introducer in the longer split cannula
  • White clamp
  • Latex, PVC, DEHP free

Indication for Use
Early post-operative long-term intrajejunal feeding after
  • Laparotomy or 
  • Laparoscopy

Absolute contraindications
  • Distal GI tract obstruction
  • Intestinal atony
  • Peritonitis
  • Blood clotting disorders
  • Sepsis
Relative contraindications
  • Immune suppression
  • Radiation enteritis
  • Pancreatitis
  • Crohn’s disease (risk of fistulation)
  • Ascites
  • Peritoneal carcinoma
