Blood Supplies for Ukraine
Blood Centers Across America Unite to Provide Blood Collection Supplies to Ukraine
Fresenius Kabi is committed to helping the people of Ukraine by donating medicines and supplies through several humanitarian aid organizations. Fresenius Kabi is now also participating in an initiative with the blood-collection community in the United States to help address the severe shortage of blood bags and other blood-collection and transfusion supplies that are critical to immediate patient care in Ukraine.
Blood Centers of America (BCA) and America’s Blood Centers (ABC) have joined together with Fresenius Kabi on a nationwide campaign to provide needed blood-collection and transfusion supplies to Ukraine. Participating BCA and ABC Blood centers will host blood drives across the United States where blood donors can donate blood to save lives here in the U.S. while also extending a helping hand to Ukraine. The goal of the campaign is to raise at least $250,000 and Fresenius Kabi will match all qualifying contributions on a one-to-one basis up to that amount with all proceeds used to purchase and deliver the transfusion items most needed.
Blood donors are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and donate blood at one of the collection events where funds will be raised for the purchase of blood collection supplies for Ukraine.
Our communities can amplify the relief efforts by making a financial donation directly to the relief fund via Venmo or PayPal. All proceeds from the program will be used to purchase the blood-collection items most needed in Ukraine.
Fresenius Kabi will match these donations on a 1:1 ratio up to a maximum of $250,0001 with all proceeds being used to purchase the blood collection supplies most needed. Fresenius Kabi will match these donations made between April 12, 2022 and June 30, 2022.
1 Fresenius Kabi will match up to the equivalent of $250,000 in blood collection supplies. All proceeds will be used to purchase the items most needed and are subject to substitution of equal value by Fresenius Kabi.
