Fresubin® 3.2 kcal Drink is a 3.2kcal/ml energy density with 20g protein (20% energy) and 10μg vitamin D per 125ml, oral nutritional supplement. Fresubin® 3.2 kcal Drink is ready to use and presented in a 125ml bottle. It is available in four flavours: Vanilla-Caramel, Mango, Hazelnut and Cappuccino. Lactose and Gluten free.

Fresubin Drink is for the dietary management of patients with or at risk of disease related malnutrition, in particular for patients with increased energy and protein needs or fluid restrictions.

Fresubin® 3.2 kcal Drink is currently a PCRS reimbursable item and requires no additional online approval. It is also prescribable on FP10/GP10 for the following indications:For the dietary management of disease related malnutrition, short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, pre-operative preparation of malnourished patient, dysphagia, proven inflammatory bowel disease, following total gastrectomy, bowel fistula.

Contra- indications

  • For enteral use only
  • Not suitable for children under 3 years old
  • Not suitable in case of galactosaemia


Precautions

  • Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition
  • To be used under medical supervision
  • Use with caution in children under 6 years old
