​Lipid emulsion for parenteral nutrition containing four different types of oils.

Features

  • 30% Soybean oil as reliable source of essential fatty acids
  • 30% Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) as source of rapidly available energy
  • 25% Olive oil for supply of monounsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid
  • 15% Fish oil as valuable source of the very long-chain ω-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)
  • and additionally Vitamin E (approximately 200 mg a-tocopherol/L)

Indications

​Supply of energy and essential fatty acids and ω-3 fatty acids to adults, as part of a parenteral nutrition regimen, when oral or enteral nutrition is impossible, insufficient or contraindicated
