Claraxo

Claraxo^TM I.V. 500 mg for injection is a sterile, lyophilized product for intravenous infusion that contains Clarithromycin. Clarithromycin is a semi-synthetic macrolide antibiotic, white to off-white crystalline powder. 

Claraxo^TM is available in USP Type I glass vial along with Sterile Water for Injections I.P. 10 ml.

Dosage:
Adults: 1 gm daily, divided into two 500 mg doses
Children older than 12 years: As for adults
Children under 12 years: Not recommended
Elderly: As for adults
 

Claraxo^TM is indicated in adults and children 12 years and older. It is indicated whenever parenteral therapy is required for treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms in the following conditions;

• Lower respiratory tract infections
• Upper respiratory tract infections
• Skin and soft tissue infections
• Disseminated or localized mycobacterial infections due to Mycobacterium avium or Mycobacterium intracellulare 
• Localized infections due to Mycobacterium chelonae, Mycobacterium fortuitum or Mycobacteri kansasii

(A)    Clarithromycin for infusion BP 500 mg
(B)    Sterile water for injection IP 10 ml FFS plastic ampoule
