BGlobal Trainee Program

Your training at Fresenius Kabi Austria

An apprenticeship at Fresenius Kabi Austria GmbH represents a top qualification in the international pharmaceutical sector. "We regard it as our social duty to offer young people the chance of a high quality apprenticeship training. The professional and personal training of apprentices to provide highly qualified employees is very important for Fresenius Kabi“, explained Plant Manager Dr. Ruth Staubmann.

We are presently training around 30 apprentices in six different apprenticeship trades at the Graz and Linz sites.

Besides traditional training, our apprentices undergo a high quality training programme that extends beyond the statutory occupational profile. From day one, apprentices constitute an important pillar of the company, receive individual supervision from their trainers, and are provided with support within a very friendly environment. They undergo a structured training programme spanning all departments and, from the start, are  involved in all processes and, having successfully served their apprenticeships, can be deployed in a variety of company divisions.

Important social competencies and key qualifications are conveyed to our apprentices by numerous seminars and through opportunities for further education. Apprentices broaden their specialist knowledge in the areas of chemistry, pharmaceutical production and process development. We attach great importance to the promotion of soft skills such as continued personality development, communication, team-working skills and critical faculties. All apprentices, moreover, have the chance to take a company-internal English language course, an apprenticeship with Higher School Certificate, and an international internship.

Joint Team events with trainers and with varying foci, designed to promote team building and exchange of information by the young apprentices, are held twice each year.
