Features

​Ceftriaxone Kabi is a 3rd generation cephalosporin antibiotic with the long serum half-life of cephalosporins. Available in a parenteral formulation, Ceftriaxone Kabi is indicated for the treatment of a number of infections when caused by susceptible microorganisms to ceftriaxone and for prophylactic use in patients undergoing surgery.

Therapeutic Indications

Ceftriaxone Kabi is indicated for the treatment of the following infections caused by micro-organisms that are susceptible to ceftriaxone and if parenteral treatment is necessary:
•    Infections of ear, nose and throat
•    Infections of the lower respiratory tract
•    Infections of the kidneys and urinary tract
•    Infections of skin and soft tissues, including wound infections
•    Infections of the genital organs, including gonorrhoea
•    Abdominal infections (peritonitis)
•    Infections of bones and joints
•    Septicaemic infections
•    Meningitis
•    Perioperative prophylaxis in patients with increased risk of infections
•    Disseminated Lyme borreliosis (early and late stages of the disease)
